Have you ever dreamt about spending your summer on an island?
Every year FOSILS offers a volunteer opportunity for two compatible people to live on Seguin Island as full-time caretakers from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Becoming a Seguin Island Light Station Caretaker requires experience and preparation. The position is both physically and mentally demanding, yet forever rewarding and possibly life changing.
We are looking for self-starters, who will be responsible for the smooth running of the island for the summer. Multi-taskers are welcome, as duties range from giving historical tours and running the museum/gift shop, to keeping the lawns and trails maintained and opened, to hosting guests in the guest quarters for donating members.
