Halcyon Yarn Features Seguin

Halcyon Yarn takes great pleasure in supporting our local, regional and coastal communities here in Maine. Not only do we source many products and supplies from these areas, we also feature (and share!) these special places and people in our Fall Yarn Catalogs.

For 2013 we’re excited to be partnering with one of our favorite organizations - The Friends of Seguin Island Light (FOSILS).

Life inside a remote island lighthouse

Every summer, two volunteers head two miles off the coast of Maine to live in and maintain a 150-year-old lighthouse on Seguin Island.

This great short was provided by Spencer Scott of CNN Money. Spencer spent the day on the island this fall with his mother, who just adored this unique place. Please make plans to visit, donate or become a member today.
