Annual Events:

Public Annual Meeting, Barbeque and Auctions:  Local Merchants and Seguin Supporters come together in our largest fundraising event that is open to the Public. The Annual Meeting is one half hour long with Friends of Seguin updates and elections, followed by a one half hour long presentation from the Island Caretakers. Next is a one hour Silent Auction followed by our Live Auctioning of merchandise and services donated by Local Merchants and Supporters. A Barbeque follows the days events serving Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and abundant homemade potluck cuisine. Tickets purchased for the Barbeque are used in the Door Prize Drawings to signal the finish of this eventful day. (Event time: 12:30 PM to 7 PM) Contact: Keeper@seguinisland.org or call (207) 443-4808.

Island Work Party:  (VOLUNTEERS GET FREE TRIP) Throughout the summer the Island Committee sponsors volunteer "work days" on Saturdays or "work weekends" on Seguin for those willing to donate their time and labor for a free boat trip to Seguin Island for the day or weekend. Tasks are usually painting, painting, painting and cutting grass. The work day is usually ended with a cookout or picnic on the island provided by our friendly Island Committee. Rain dates are usually scheduled for the following day. (Event time: about 8 AM to 3 PM) Contact: Keeper@seguinisland.org or call (207) 443-4808.

Georgetown Working League Fair:  The event of the season for Georgetown. Georgetown citizens and Flatlanders assemble to educate, display, sell, "chew the fat" and promote Handmade Maine merchandise.
